One of my geckos escaped, i spend hours looking for it and i look between the wall and insulation, ill post pics later. Basically, it was about 10 feet in there with a 1/2 inch gap and no way could i get it. I took a pole, shoved it down there and tried scaring it back, and when it came out it had a broken arm and its skin was pretty badly torn off. Im going to schedule a vet appointment, its liek a 2 week old hatchling and i dont think theres much to do for the limbs of a gecko. I am going to put neosporin where the flesh was torn away, but what do i do about the arm? I cant contact the vet right now, so i need help immedeatly.

I can only tell you about my experience with this; I'm not a vet. One of my hatchlings when it was probably less than 2 weeks suddenly started dragging a limb when it was walking. I noticed that the part below the "knee" was purplish and the knee area looked swollen, so I assumed it had broken somehow. I straightened the limb into the right position (there was no skin tear in this case) and left her alone. I would check on her periodically by lifting her up gently and resting her in my hand. It took a few weeks, but it healed completely and now her leg has colored up the right way and looks and works fine except for a little thickening around the knee. Hopefully with one so young it will heal also. Until you can get her to the vet, keep her warm and quiet.
Good luck

Paul, I have a couple of resources for finding reptile vets on the INFORMATION page of my website.

I am obviously not a vet either, but I did have a gecko leap out of someone's hands at a show which resulted in a broken leg. My vet said there was little he could do, and advised me to just leave the little one alone and not alow it to climb on anything for a few weeks. The leg healed on it's own, but it was permanently bent. I adopted the gecko out to a great gecko keeper here on GF, and it's doing fine ever since.

Thanks a ton

This morning it walks more like it has MND and the skin is already healing. Ill use a tooth pick to splint it
