Hi, My gecko is sick. We have had her over a year and she has done great. last week she stopped eating and has now lost all the fat in her tail. She is weak and seems stiff. She doesn't want to put her belly down. Now she has started to roll over onto her back!!

her temps are great in her 20 gallon tank and she is on reptile carpet. Her worms have always been dusted with calcium
any advice/

I'd go for a vet visit if you say her temps and food are fine. Sounds like an abdominal problem if she's not wanting to put pressure on the belly area, but I'm NOT a vet.

She will be ok!

Awahh Hope she get well soon. Make sure shes getting plenty of uv to cover up for the lack of nutrients through the body ok. Make sure shes always hydrated! Even if that meens every 48 hours giving her a 10 min dip in warm water. Plain Warm Water. Its good 4 her. Relaxes her belly muscles. She will of got cramp thats all. When you have been eating for a long period of time and not ran around allot and just slept. You dont want to lie on your're belly ither. So shes just being sleepy and trying not to lie on her aching belly! x Hopes she recovers soon..

UV lighting does not benifit leopard geckos. They are noctournal and it is belly heat that aides in their digestion and nutrient absorbtion not uv. Maybe this is why you're having issues with your gecko. Stress from too much UV lighting.
