Help Getting Extra Heat?

I moved my male and right now he is in this tub thing. I'm using a lamp, but it's not very powerful, and I'm worried that he's not getting enough heat. What are some tips for getting a bit of extra heat?

I cut squares off a black trashbag and put it over the warm hide, so hopefully that will help.

I've been saying this a lot today :p But I suggest you get an Under Tank Heater. There very good at keeping things warm, and are much more useful to the geckos then over head lamps. They are also cheaper and easier to maintain then the lamps are. You can get a decent sized one at most pet stores for around $20.

although if he's in a tub, don't stick a UTH on it. Are you planning on moving him into a glass terrarium?

I'm working on getting a UTH, but for now I'm using this crap lamp. I'm planning on keeping him in this plastic tub I'm using.

If you use a thermostat you'll be fine with an under tank heater under the plastic bin. Get the mini 1-5 gallon heater.
