Some questions:

Is this a leopard gecko we're talking about?

Are you measuring temperatures on the ground or in the air?

If it's a leopard gecko and you're measuring ground temperatures, there may be something wrong with your UTH.

I'm assuming the 30x30x30 is centimeters, in which case in inches the cage is 12"x12" floor space. This is too small for a leopard gecko, who is usually housed in a 10 gallon tank: 10"x20" floor space (approx. 25x50 cm).

If it turns out that you are measuring the air temp rather than the floor temp, the gecko might actually be too hot. If it's a new gecko, it may not be eating because it's still adjusting.

Whats the important type of temp, the floor or air temp? What should the floor temp be on the hot side and the cool side? what should the air temps be?
