I read up on egg incubation etc months ago, but gave up when I got no eggs. Much to my suprise I came home from work today and I have an egg. I quickly got my incubator set up. And when I tried to move the egg I saw that it was very squishy so I left it alone. I have a plastic container with moss that I was going to put it in then put it in my incubator when the temps go up. Right now it's laying in sand in the warm side of the tank. Do you think it could be fertile? What temp is good to have it on for a female? Is moss ok? I wet it with water. Do I put the platic lid on the container, poke holes in it? How do I transfer the egg to the container? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Read this: http://www.albeysreptiles.com/incubate-eggs.htm for an incubation method that works well.

Google "leopard gecko breeding" to get breeding care sheets that will probably answer most of your questions.

There are at least 3 posts in either the "breeding" or "incubation" sections of the forum from people who unexpected found an egg and I've probably responded to all 3 probably with what you'd like to know.

Good luck,

well yeah i guess it does feel like a stale marshmellow. Now that you described it. I think it does have a little dent in it now though. But she keeps walking near it so she may have done it. How do I pick it up?
