Hi im New to reptiles and just recently purchased 2 baby leopard geckos from ++++++++. i did alot of research before purchasing them about what they need to live and how to take care of them but not to much about the different morphs or genetics. Now that i know all the basics of how to take care of them im tryin to research and further my knowledge about different morphs and the genetic traits of leopard geckos. Ive read that its not recommended to purchase reptiles from chain pets stores but i looked at all the reptile stores in my are and they were either out or the babies just hatched and the shops couldnt sell them yet. when i went to ++++++++ to pick up supplies i looked at the leo's not planning on buying oany but they looked healthy and were really pretty soi had to have them. i decided on the two i wanted and got them along wit some supplies. Once i got them home i weighed them to try and get an idea of how old they were and one weighed 9.4 grams and the other 9.6 im guessing they are beetween 1- 2 months old. So now my question is can anyone tell me what morph of leo's i have please? And can you tell me if they look healthy to you?

They look quite healthy for 10g geckos. They both look like normals to me, but the second defintelt has some bold stripe influence. It will be a few months before you're able to tell if he'll have a stripe or not. Congrats on your first geckos!

I would say the first one is a hypo at this point since it appears to have less than 10 body spots, and could be a superhypo if the rest of the body spots disappear. I think you can say the second one is a jungle since it has broken body and tail bands, but doesn't really have a symmetrical stripe. Are you keeping them together? If so, watch them carefully in case you end up with 2 males or a male and a female.

Thanks for the help. Yes I am housing them together, when would be a good time to separate them if they are both male or one female one male?

Immediately. Geckos don't need companionship, and can actually be stressed out by it. It's always a good idea to keep them separate, no matter the sexes
