hey sorry to hear about that, but I think I would try to make real hotspot in the room to try and lure him into that spot, and just hope that he isn't stuck in a crack or taken by the cat,

good luck

they always show up
but put out plenty of hiding spots and check them regularly also, a UTH somwhere in the room may lure him to the heat

hot spots

i made a couple of spots in my room- i put down a heating pad with hiding log on right side of cage, put his lamp clasped on his left side of cage and aimed at a hiding spot, and a water and food bowl by that. and one log in a corner in my room with water bowl. hope he will come out. also my collared lizard has a new cage with just sand and i cant use it yet (i dont have a cover and i put a hamock for him to climb up and maybe he will go in there. i dont have cats, 2 dogs but if they eat him i would see them eating them, because i can catch them eating anoles out side. lets hope he will come out

In my experience you cannot lure them out in the open with heat. They find a dark small spot and get cold and rest.
You will need to check EVERY room top to bottom, rip everything apart. I have had many escapes in my life.
A hamster in the furnace, a snake in a dog bed (IN IT), etc.
If you have other pets, they need to be confined to a small room that youve already checked, or a cage. They can eat your gecko.

Look behind all of the furniture very carefully. They will like to feel safer along the wall areas. Look near all the register vents in the room. I had one gecko that escaped from her cage as a young juvenile and we found her 3 months later two floors down. She must have survived on escaped crickets and other bugs( and survived our 2 cats and 2 dogs). Now she is one of my biggest females!
