and it's an odd thing to say, but I almost woulda preferred a reptile bite... especially a gecko bite. I think it's so endearing when they try to swallow your finger whole and they've obviously "bitten off more than they can chew" but they go for it anyway. gotta respect the little suckers. :main_rolleyes:
Well said, I agree. :main_yes: They're so adorable. :p

I know you have already captured your gecko, but I just wanted to put in alittle side note for anyone in the future. Geckos usually are calm and nice, so the way you handle them usually isnt importaint, but when you do handle the occasional mean gecko, or one just having a bad day, You want to bring your hand down on top of them and grab between their front legs and neck so that they can not turn their head and bite you. Keep in mind im not saying to smash the poor little guy, but if the gecko is mean you cant play around and go slow either, you must use alittle force, just keep in mind the size of the creature you are dealing with....

On the biting thing - they can really do a number on your finger. Always when a gecko has decided to nip me, it is exactly that, a painless nip. I always thought that was all they could do. Then one day I had a male slip out of his container, walk along the shelf and fall into another males container. There was a terrible battle, one male had the other one by the throat in a true death grip and would not let go, even when I put them under running water. I was frantically trying to make him let go without hurting either of them, and the attacking male was losing his grip. When he went for a new grip he got a nice fleshy finger pad on me! That was when I learned all those little nips in the past were just friendly little warning taps. This guy would not let go of me and was twisting doing the alligator. The only reason he still isn't attached to my finger is because he bit off a hunk of meat! Bled for 2 days. The funny part of that is seeing him in the corner of his cage trying to get that nasty taste out of his mouth

I had a nice bite from a 75 gram male. Took him out to clean his container, was moving him back in, and for no reason he just latched on. He also took part of my finger. The sick part about it was, he had some of my skin on his mouth still. He actually finished eating it. Standing there watching your gecko eat your skin is kinda gross LoL

My gecko Rossa once got out. I put her favorite rock where she was and she went right in
