Help me make a decision

I am looking for some advice, I got some geckos 1.5 years ago. One of them is completely untouchable. He (I refer to him as a he, but I have not actually been able to sex it) does not like to be touched, picked up, talked to, looked at, no matter what I do he freaks out.
I needed to move to my new rental property this past summer and he bite me (pretty badly too) when I tried to pick him up.
He has always been this way, I have never dropped him, or done anything to harm him. I feed him every other day/whenever his dish is empty, and give him crickets to hunt every few weeks as a treat.
He always has water, and calcium and I honestly have no idea why he hates the world so much.
So my whole problem is now I am wanting to find him a better home, to see if someone would be able to take better care of him, make him more friendly, more happy. I honestly don't think I am taking bad care of him I just don't really know what he wants.
So all in all, my question is, do I sell him/give him to a better home, or continue trying? At this point I just feel bad for the little guy and want him to live a good life.

Welcome to GF!
It actually sounds as if he lives a good life as long as no one is messing with him. I would doubt that he can be "tamed" if he's been this skittish for this long (though I could always be wrong). If you know his genetics, he may make a good breeder male for someone. If you don't, there's no point in trying that. Someone may want a nice display (i.e. "look but don't touch") animal. There are so many leopard geckos on the market now, that unless he has known genetics that make him a good breeder choice or is so beautiful that someone would want him as a display animal, you probably aren't going to be able to move him. I have a number of retired breeders and several of them I know I'll never be able to sell due to their personalities. Good luck with him.

If u decide to give him away i would be happy to take him in and work with him just to see if theres any way i can help him relax and live a nice healthy life as im sure he is living with you.
Good luck with him!
