Our leo is finaly going to do her first shed. (at least with us).. She is starting to turn lose her color and turning white. We have her on reptile carpet. We set up a humid hide last night which she hasn't used yet. Our temps are 98 on hot side.
85 on cool side. She is a juvie. About ? 3 months old
Any tips or advice on making sure she has a sucessful shed? This is our first time.

Patience. Your gecko will naturally go looking for a good spot to start shedding (the moist hide). Keep the moist hide moist and she'll go on over and shed.

Pretty much just let her be. She will take care of everything herself. Once she is done just check her over for any shed that may be stuck. Use a moist q-tip to ease it off. Don't be surprised or worried if she doesn't eat the days surrounding a shed. Some leos will keep up with eating, others don't when it comes to shed time.

After she sheds you can put her in a small tupperware container with warm water just to make sure that all of the shed around her toes and stuff is off.

just make sure you have a nice moist hide, and even spray him with warm water every now and then if you find him having trouble, he should be fine. it's fun to watch, and he EATS it!! =)

thank you.

Thank you for all the advice. He was very dull last night and now he is back to his bright self. WOW!! I didn't realize it could happen so fast. How does anyone catch that.
