Hi,

I recently bought a baby leopard gecko -- I've had it for about two weeks now. I have been feeding it about 4 small crickets every day and I just held him today and noticed his belly looked really.. strange. There's a bright red line going down his stomach and weird white spots? It's red everywhere too, and down near his genitalia/anus it's all red and swollen. If someone can give me advice and tell me what this is maybe and what I can do to help him, please let me know. Screenshot by Lightshot <-- Picture of his belly.

Edit: Please note I've rarely held him or looked at his belly much before and I've never had a baby leopard gecko... are these just his organs I'm looking at? Lol. I'm paranoid but it looks really odd to me and I'd appreciate someone's opinion on what this is.

Thank you.

It kind of looks like he may have scratched himself on the belly while shedding; it looks pretty much on the surface, not under the skin. I also notice that he may have some retained shed on one front foot, and it looks like one of the toes is a bit bloody from shedding. It's not too bad if there's a bit of bleeding while you're helping him remove the shed, but it is important to get all the shed off. Make sure the floor of the enclosure isn't too hot (low 90's max measured with a laser thermometer or digital thermometer with probe) and he isn't burning himself.
