I was going through the cage today looking for any escaped meal worms and picking up poop, and i picked up our albino (daisy) and laid her down on my bed to hold her for a while, turned the lights off on the cage and went and sat on my bed. Well i get to looking and she isn't using her rear legs 'AT ALL' they are straight out next to her body she isn't bending them or anything. She is a very healthy girl she has fat pockets behind her front arms, nice big fat tail and fat tummy so i know she has been eating, and the last time i seen her was the begging of last weekend and she was fine. There is nothing at all in the cage that is high enough to where she could have fell and hurt them, nothing haas fell over and even if it did, nothing heavy enough to do any damage. What do you guys think is wrong? Is there anything i can do to fix her the 5 geckos we have are like me and my finance's little babies we treat them with the utmost care and this absolutely is killing me and i know its going to break my finance's heart once i tell her what is going on in the morning. Please anything, do you think it would be worth taking her to the vet over? I don't really know any vets around here that specialize in reptiles, or do all vets take care of reptiles? Thanks for reading and i hope you can help us

ok very very weird. I check her cage this morning just to check on her, and she is perfectly fine now! I picked her hiding spot off of her and she physically sprinted half way across the cage and underneath another hide. Do you guys think i should still spend the money to have her looked at by a vet? I used that site and id a search and found a herp vet decently close to me and will take a look at her and everything for about 50bucks. I'm just totally re leaved that she is ok now.

I'm glad she's walking normally again! It definitely wouldn't hurt to take her for a check up. If there really is a problem maybe the vet would be able to fix it before any major damage is done. $50 is probably worth the piece of mind.

One thing Ive noticed with mine is they sometimes lie with thier legs in what to me would be awkward positions. Look like they are broken, etc. Just what they do sometimes I guess, my rats sometimes sleep on thier heads. But a vet checkup is definately worth the peace of mind.

thats the thing she sometime does lay how she looked last night but i would touch her on her back and she doesnt like that much and she would try to crawl away using only her front legs just dragging her body, without even attempting to move her back legs. But she is still fine so far i just checked her on my lunch and everything looks good, i am going to take her to the vet just to see if there is a explanation they can give me. :main_huh:
