Help please... Sappho stopped eating...

Sappho is nearing her first birthday, and WAS doing well! She's almost at a solid 90 grams and is lazy and friendly as usual.

However, she sort of decided to stop eating. It's been 4-5 days now. There has been no change in her environment, the temperature is normal, etc etc. Whenever I offer her a worm, she looks at it, maybe licks it, and turns her head away and goes to lay down like she wants nothing to do with it! She isn't really losing weight, she's just not interested. The room temperature gets naturally a bit colder in the winter, could this be burmation? She's got her calcium and all that good stuff as usual, so that's the only thing I can think of. Still just as cheerful as usual, but she's not really into eating. Any ideas?

She's probably ovulating. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless she starts to loose weight. Look at her tummy... do you see a couple of pinkish colored oval shaped areas on either side of the tummy?

I can't really tell... There could be eggs there, but I can't really see clearly. She lost a couple grams, nothing drastic. I'll try feeding her again tonight to see if it was a phase, and get back to you.

Still not eating. She's starting to shed so that won't help her appetite. Whenever I offer her a worm she turns her head away, but sometimes she'll do a quick little twitch, as if a hair tickled her nose or something, but nothing touched her. I'm not sure what to do with her. Today I'll get waxworms to see if that helps, but she's dropped another gram and it's been like 4-5 days now. :(

She took four waxworms just not but wasn't even remotely interested in the regular food. I noticed that she's moving verrrrrry sloooowly, and when she took the worm it wasn't the usual *lungeCHOMP!* she normally does - she took it very gingerly, as if she just didn't have the energy. The waxworms will hold her over for a bit, but they just aren't food... Not sure what to do with her at this point.

I know it's hard but try not to worry. Female leos almost always get picky during ovulation. I can almost guarantee that's what's going on. It can be frustrating but it's completely normal.

Okay... I can't see eggs, but maybe I will in a day or so. She's my baby, when she twitches I freak out. We'll see. :)
