My male leopard gecko had blood in his stool about 15 days ago we got into the vet and she gave us a medication for him (Albon) to take for 5 days no blood in the stool the 5th day of the medicine or the following two. I woke up 2 days ago and some blood again and this morning there was blood all over his tank and I believe he is in prolapse.. Anything I can do to make him more comfortable I have about 5 hours to go before I can get to a vet.. Or any knowledge on what could cause this.

Age= He was full grown when I bought him 4 years ago
Diet= mostly meal worms he eats a few crickets every now and then
He has two hides his warm and humid temps are around 85 on the cool side 91 on the warm.
Male and he lives by himself

Any help for keeping him comfortable till the vet would be great thank you!

Keep him in a very clean environment, with butcher paper or similar substrate (so nothing can touch his little bum)

You can put him in a warm bath with some sugar dissolved in it. This has helped individuals with prolapses in the past.

Vet got the prolapse to retract and put him on a medicine for 20 days.. Just keeping my fingers crossed he gets better thanks for all the support! Beef flavor meds that added $20 bucks to the bill anything for my Leo though.

$20 bucks? Thats cheap! Meds here are far more expensive. Glad hes all better. I had a turtle prolasp once, he recovered :)

New question though he heats mostly meal worms sometimes crickets the vet suggested pinkies... Ive never had experience with this my male gecko is pretty large 95g and 11in i believe.. he said it would give him a better diet good idea for a leo or not?

A male leo that size shouldn't be eating pinkies. If you are going to change up feeders, go with dubia roaches. Pinkies are a whole lot of fat, which is why you move snakes off of them as soon as you can.

Pinkies, definitely not a good idea. Basically, they're almost all fat. If you wanna switch up diet... silkworms, roaches, phoenix worms, more crickets instead of mealworms, or locusts are all really good.

Agreed pinkies are normally suggested for very quick weight gain, as said before there all fat. Strictly speaking leos are insectivorous not carnivorousness so shouldn't really be eating meat but giving them one in a blue moon wouldnt do then any harm.
That is if you can get him to eat one. geckos like their food really alive and moving so i dont think hed eat a dead pinkie any way.
Hows he doing? has the blood stopped?

We did the meds for 20days as the vet said all was good till day 10 then slowly started seeing blood. Now we are day 21 and we are just as bad as before hes not eating acting aggressive and non of his stools are coming out good enough to be tested which is what the vet wants I have one I'm going to try to take tomorrow any harm with adding a few drops of water to keep it moist... Any one else ever had this happen I'm so worried about him..

Fecal exam came back negative... Our exotic reptile vet is not sure whats going on.. He put him on Baytril and also Ketoconazole for 14days both taken once a day... If this does not work the only other thing the vet thinks I could do would be to put him down... Any one ever have anything like this or any thoughts any ideas would be great...

I wouldnt recommend pinkies, but then again I didnt go to vet school for 6+ years.

It is up to you if you want to think about euthanizing your pet. It may be best for him if he is suffering. I'm sure there are other options available, possibly an ultrasound - but very very expensive

"possibly an ultrasound - but very very expensive" I may have to look into it if this round of medication wont work.. no blood but no stools for 3days now.. I'm already a few hundred dollars in.. and a college student with two jobs I cant go too much farther money wise but I'll do what I can hes my original leo i've had him 4 years and super attached... Hes always had water in his tank but never drank it often from what ive seen the last few days its like all hes been doing not sure if its helping flush out his system or.. idk hes never really peed before either but has the last 2 days again.
The only other thing my vet suggested was the Akron Ohio emergency clinic a pretty good drive from us and from what Ive heard a lot of money..
