I dont know if they did or not. But last night my male bit my female after she rub up against him and started to ratlle his tail they didnt do anything. I was nt sure what this was today i found out it is a sign of wnating to mate. i didnt seperate them yet because i am at work. Should i seperate them and if so should i worry that my female could be ovulating and maybe pregnant or do i not have to worry about her at this age. they are both about 6 months old.

I would strongly recommend that you seperate these 2 geckos immediatly. The last thing that you want is a juvenile gecko that is pregnant because she is not mature enough to handle the beating of being pregnant. Females are recommended to breed at 1yr+ years of age. Being pregnant is very straining on the female and usually they lose some weight during the process and if they are too small, their little bodies can't recover for the 2nd and 3rd clutches. It's unlikely that she is pregnant because ovulation takes up to a few days and since the female wasnt receptive last night, she will probably not be receptive now. Never know though, just seperate them please. Good luck.

Sorry, I just saw your post that you have indeed seperated them. Good job, dont worry too much about her being pregnant but you could check her belly to see of she is ovulating.

It's a good thing you separated them. Females definitely can become gravid at that age but hopefully you caught them in time. I was picking up dog food one day at the pet store and the reptile "specialist" asked what to do about a female laying eggs in the leo tank. They were all around 20-25g so I was surprised...then I found a male in the tank. They had been throwing the eggs away so he gave her to me to try and save them and her (she was really thin). She pulled through, thankfully, and I hope the pet shop learned how to sex geckos! It's really a good idea to just keep males and females separated at any age.

Just make sure she has plenty of food and is properly supplemented. Chances are that if she is ovulating, she'll re-absorb the eggs that start to develop. You did a good job catching them early so she should be fine.
