Help red tail tip

Can you help me my babies tail is red and it was like that yesterday night.He went into shed.I either think he bit hes tail or he burnt is some how.How do I fix this,I've tried to get hold of herp vets but their is not a lot around Chicago.I know to put non pain reliever neosporian should drop by itself if it is burnt.I know to make sure that it does not spread.

The white is gone it was stuck shed.

you may want to look a little closer to see if there is any stuck shed possibly cutting off blood flow to the tail tip as well

I soaked him again.Hes last shed was clean and everything,I checked hes toes also nothing.I'm adding a little more humidity in hes cage just to make sure.I do not know why their would be stuck shed because I add new paper towel in hes humid hide ans spraying the towel.

Update:The area of the tail is shriveled and the rest is normal for the tip so I am expecting it to fall off.He is eating and is active like normal.I am thinking it was a burn because this morning he moved the paper towel and found a hot spot even though I have the thermostat on 92.

Quite possible it could be a burn. Just watch his tail, as long as the redness do not spread to the upper part of the tail, he should be fine (the shriveled tip will fall off).

I have watched it and lowered the temperature down to 90 now.I applied some Repti-wound healing aid that is good for cuts,burns,and abrasions.It had not spread or moved the red part is shriveled and everything is responding correctly.

The tip has not fallen of yet,I am still applying the Healing Aid.He is eat and drinking water.It has not spread.Called a local vet he said it is nothing to worry about it unless it has spread,and lower the temperature(already did) then it should fall off soon.
