So recently both of our geckos had a pretty difficult shed. They've never had any problems before. This was about 5-6 days ago. One of them had a bit of skin stuck to her nose, so we bought some Shed-Aid and tried to remove it with that. Well it was really stuck on there, and it took us about 2 or 3 days to get the skin completely off. Now it's not looking so good and I'm not sure what to do. Do you think this is vet worthy?? Please help I am very worried!

I would try neosporin ( WITHOUT the pain med in it) for a few days and see if it starts looking better and then if not I personally would call the vet.Hope he gets better soon.

It looks like she's been rubbing it raw. Make sure you take everything that she can rub her face on out of the enclosure for a while. As Ruby suggested, try Neosporin. If she has a problem with stuck shed again in the future, try keeping the entire enclosure slightly moist as well as the humid hide until you get the stuck piece off.

i here a little a & d oinment works for sores on them. in that case a superior lotion with hardly any water like lubriderm in small amount may help the roughness so that the gecko quits rubbing. you may wanna ask about this though i'm not too positive, but neosporin with no meds like rubym said.

I ended up speaking to a vet, who recommended Silvadine (silver sulfadiazine) cream. I applied it once a day and it seems to be almost completely better.

whenever any of mine have shed issues like that, I just put an extra humid hide in the tank, but I put vermiculite in it...just like one of my lay boxes and I make it extremely wet, if you tip the container water comes out of it...and I put that under the infrared light or on top of the heat pad, depends on which is in the tank...it makes it extremely humid in that hide, during cold dry winter months I do it anyway and no one has any issues

where'd you get the cream at just for future reference

I think you can only get Silvadine (silver sulfadiazine) at a vet. I work at a vet that doesn't see exotics, but we use it as a burn cream. So I was able to get some there. I guess its good for shedding issues too.
