Welcome to GF:
Getting your first geckos: If you're ultimately planning on breeding you need to consider 3 things:
--get healthy geckos (fat tails, clear eyes, eating well)
--decide what you want to breed and get the geckos that will produce that result
--get geckos from a breeder who can tell you what their genetics are

There is a reptile expo in Manchester, NH on 10/6 and one in Brockton on 10/27 (or you could just come to Somerville and get some from me!)

Breeding: If you haven't owned leopard geckos before, I (and other people as well) recommend getting some geckos and spending the next year taking care of them and learning about them.
Be sure you will have the funds for: incubator, caging for babies, getting a table at shows to sell them, feeding babies, taking geckos to the vet when they're having problems. If you're not going to have that kind of money, delay breeding.

Here's another Gecko Time article about breeding:

Aliza gave you some great info. The best thing you can do is read, read, and then read some more. There is a lot to learn and tons of info here and on the web. Good luck!
