One of my geckos recently lost a tip of her toe after a bad shed, and for the past week to week and a half I have put Neosporin on it perhaps every other day...tonight I just read that the Pain Relief ointment is toxic to reptiles, and because this is the kind I had on hand I unknowingly used it. I was never aware of its toxicity until now.
Should I take her to the vet? She's due for a follow up after having mouth rot anyway, has been on antibiotics for 14 days now.
Are there any signs I should look out for after having used the Neosporin? I should also mention that said toe is swollen and it has not gone down since the toe has fallen off.
