Help With Cleaning New Leopard Gecko's Cage?

My new leopard gecko is pretty shy, and I need to clean it out this weekend and it's REALLY shy and I don't know how I'm going to be able to clean it out. I would like if someone could tell me how I could get my leopard gecko out of the enclosure and safely in a box or somewhere it's easy to keep an eye on it. I finally got it to eat the other day and it ate a lot and isn't hungry anymore (it's a juvenile or at least the breeder says so but it's about three and a half inches long) and it pooped and I think this Saturday or tomorrow I need to clean everything out even though I got rid of most of the visible poop. Thanks for any and all help! I just don't want it to be scared of me!

If you have two pieces of carpet handy, cleaning will be less stressful. Pick up your gecko gently and swap the pieces. Then you can clean the other piece and not worry about keeping your gecko in a box.

I only have one, but I can get another. I'm thinking about maybe switching to paper towel one time then carpet the next, but that might be confusing. I can get one at my local pet store. I was just there today but had no money with me. I just hope it works out because I don't want to freak it out. :p

Do you have a small enough box to fit inside it's 'house'? If so remove it's other hides and carefully direct it into the box and you should be ok and cause minimal stress.

I had this problem with my leo because he was aggressive and had not been tamed yet, what i did was got a tupperware container poked holes in the lid set the container inside the tank on its side with lid off and lured my gecko into the container with a wax worm, when he walked inside to get the waxworm i would tip the container right side up put the lid back on and removed the container from his cage.
