I just got my smallest crestie out and he isnt moving at all. He wont even hold his head up, it seems like he paralized. The only way i can tell that hes alive is because if i put him on his back he will attempt to turn back over [not a stong attempt though].

Hes 1 of 4 cresties and he is housed only with another juvi.

please help

how is your humidity, also if your crestie is that small you should really be housing alone so you can gauge that its eating properly and is not being bullied.

He has been in this enclosure for over 2 months already. I hand feed them all atleast once a week so i know they are getting something. He still hasnt moved, im really worried. Im going to move him into a smaller tank by himself tomorrow or as soon as i can get it cleaned and set up.

I would remove him from the bunch. Give him a sauna (take a deli cup with a warm (not hot) wet paper towel and let him set in there for about 5 minutes, this will help hydrate him. Keep him in a smaller enclosure with a plant and paper towel.

Now the enclosure with the other 3. Whats their substrate? Are you only feeding CGD 1x a week or is it offered all the time you just manually offer it to them once a week for bonding? Do you offer crickets? How big are those crickets?

Lastly I would call the vet and get him in. There could be a few things going on, impaction, bacterial infection are the first things to come to my mind, entomoeba after those two.

Yes they are fed CDG nothing else. They get new cdg every other day and i had feed once a week to make sure they are all eatting and it gets them used to handeling.
Like i said he wast housed with all 3 others, only the one juvi thats near his size. The sub. is half repticarpet and half beast-a-beast for the live plants.
I tried soaking him too.

Sadly he did pass away last night.

im sorry for your loss, this seems to be happening more often right now. i would invest in some entamoeba fix as a precaution and feed it to the other 2 housed with that gecko according to the directions on the package and keep a close eye on them and maybe even try to get a fecal done on them. I am treating all of mine right now due to a few of mine with entamoeba signs just to be safe all are getting treated. They seem to be more active right now which is good. I hope the other two stay healthy for you. Good luck

If he was housed with bed-a-beast impaction could have been the problem and is often the cause of death for little ones when housed on it. It honestly isnt safe to use for crested geckos smaller then 12g. If you confinue to use the bed-a-beast for the live plant, take that cloth material from the home store that keeps weeds from growing up, place that down over the dirt. Then along the entire edge of the entire section with the dirt and weed protector and place small stones (to large to try and eat). This will keep from the dirt being possibly ingested making it safer for your gecko, but still makes it very easy to water your plant.

But I am sorry to hear your loss, the bad part with these guys when they are little when they start to show any sign of sickness, unless taken to the vet ASAP, they go very quickly. But I truely am sorry for your loss.
