Christina thanks for the MBD pic. Hopefully I can find a more severe case and show how it progesses.

Steve thanks for the link. Those photos are neat. I'll have to get in touch with the guy that took those.

In the next week or so I'll start organizing what morphs I have pictures for and which I don't, that way I can ask for specifics.

Thanks to everyone that has helped so far! Y'all are amazing! :D

Does anyone have a good way to define a morph?

I was thinking something along the lines of 'a genetic mutation/variation among leopard geckos.'

Its basically just patterns and colors.

Yes I know. I was just trying to come up with a good definition.

I'm leaning towards using "a genetic variation/mutation that affects skin color/pattern, eye color, and/or size."

Thoughts?

Of course you can 'plug' GeckoForums.net! If I can help with our presentation in any way, please let me know.

Thanks Marcia! Is there a GeckoForums picture I can use? I've seen the orange banner on some other sites. Should I just copy it off the website?

So I thought I had some more morph pictures, but in reality all I have are Mack snow and Super snow pics. So any and all morphs are greatly appreciated!

John, thanks again. I'll go through them and probably e-mail you asking who is what morph :) I'm not great at morph IDs.

Kitty I will definitely be using one of your pictures of that poor little one. Please PM me and let me know how you want to be mentioned in the presentation.

Three crypto questions:

1. What's crypto's full name?
2. What are the symptoms?
3. Is it true that there is no cure? That's what my research found, but I thought somewhere a while back I heard about a new type of possible treatment.

Also I'm going to start looking for a few morphs at a time so I can keep them organized.

I am currently looking for:
Engima
Blizzards (regular, blazing, and midnight)
Patternless

Thanks everyone!

1. Chryptosporidium is the name of the parasite. Chryptosporidiosis is the name of the condition.
2. Decrease in appetite leading to weight loss, regurgitation of shed skin bundles, regurgitation of undigested food items, diarrhea, enlargement of the liver. (All from Tremper's book)
3. We don't believe there is.

You can use whatever pics you want. There are a few blazings in there, good eye pics.

I (Matt) did a speech on the effects of temperatures on leopard geckos in my speech class. Maybe thats an angle you havn't looked at yet? Its all very interesting, just have fun with it!

3. Is it true that there is no cure? That's what my research found, but I thought somewhere a while back I heard about a new type of possible treatment.

Cryptosporidum sperentis is the full name for the crypto that affects reptiles. It is a parasite that is in the family of coccidia, and so far is always fatal in leopard geckos. There are currently several new treatments that are showing promise, but it is still unknown if it completely kills off ALL of the parasite. Geckos that have been 'cured' are still believed to be contagious, as it is passed on via oral/fecals contact.

THe symptoms are similar to any other disease a leopard gecko can get, such as anorexia, diarrhea, regurgitation, lethargy, and literally wasting away.

BTW, you are welcome to use any of the photos on the GALLERY page of my website!
