Help with stuck shed (toes)

My leopard gecko shed a few days ago and he still has some shed stuck on his toe(s). He appears to have some on the very tip of one of his toes and one of his toes is swollen with shed stuck beside it. I've tried letting him soak in luke-warm water and then using a q tip and tweezers to get the shed off his swollen toe, but I've had no luck. He doesn't like me to touch it (obviously it hurts him) and tries to run away when I do so. I'm not sure what to do :main_huh: I don't want him to lose his toe! If anyone has any thoughts or advice please comment! Thank you

By the way I posted this thread in another category but realized this category was a better fit, so any mod feel free to take down my other thread and leave this one. Thank you!

I'll take the other one down for you.
Soak him again. Then, put him in your lap and gently put a fold of your shirt over his head. Use your fingernails to remove the shed. A q-tip isn't strong enough to do anything. With the gecko's head in your shirt, he can burrow in there and won't mind the "operation" so much.
