I have a warm hide and cold hide ready for a leopard gecko. Do I need a moist hide and If so what do I put in a moist hide and a cold hide? (I am using a tile substrate)

A moist hide is a good idea to help with shedding and to give the gecko another choice of micro-habitat. A cold hide is just a regular hide on the cool side. A moist hide is usually made from a gladware container with a hole cut in the side or the top. I use moist coco fiber (with a hole cut into the top of the container) for my breeding geckos (it doubles as a moist hide and a lay box) and paper towel which I mist daily for the non breeding geckos.

so I don't need anything in the cold hide and the moist hide is for when they shed? Would a coconut hide be good for moist hide?

Thanks

A coconut hide will work if you feel you can maintain humidity in it. Usually the plastic with a small opening works well, but experiment with a coconut hide and see how well it works.
