So we're now in July, and his MBD hasn't got any worse, from the look of it. Actually, looking at pictures from January, it might have gotten a bit better. I have learned that the breeder I got him from didn't even know about MBD (I know, right?) and that's probably the reason why his front legs are this way.
I'm taking great care of him, and he's not showing any sign of not doing well. In fact, just before I went and took pictures of him, he was playing in his plastic plant as usual, trying to go up God knows where!
So is there any way his MBD could actually be cured? I don't mind if he's always going to be like this, since it doesn't look severe, but I'd like to know if he could ever go back to "normal", seeing he's been this way since a very young age.
Thanks!
Id say his legs are looking better and overall healthier then back in Jan. Nice job getting him on the right track!
As for MBD just keep the calcium dish from him in his cage and dust his feeders like you have been. Seems like your doing the right things to give him a healthy happy life. Ive never dealt with MBD, I assume once you have restored the calcium levels in the bones it wont get worst. But the bow in his legs may stay. I could be wrong I really know little on the subject of MBD.
