For those of you who have owned both, is the newer book Leopard Geckos: The Next Generations an updated version of The Herpetoculture of Leopard Geckos or is there content in the original book that has been cut from the newer one? I ask because I have neither, and I am wondering if I will get all the information if I only buy the newer book.

Also, any opinions on the material contained in the book(s) are welcome if you feel like discussing it.

I have the Herpetoculture . . . and enjoyed it a lot, though I don't think I learned that much (not Tremper's fault, I'd just been doing a lot of reading for years before I got the book). I don't have the second book and haven't read it. He did release a smart phone app last year called "Leopard Gecko Pro" which I copy edited for him (after the fact; there were errors in the app, I called him and spent a bunch of time proofreading and commenting). I don't know whether my changes made it into the app or not. I also reviewed it for Gecko Time (Leopard Gecko Pro: A Review of Ron Tremper?s New App | Gecko Time) favorably, I thought, though apparantly because I was 95% favorable instead of 100% favorable, the review was not taken that well. It's possible that some or all of what's in the second book is also in Leopard Gecko pro, but I don't know. I imagine either will have gorgeous pictures.

Thanks for the info and the review link, Aliza. I think I'm going to get the newer book for now, unless someone else states that material has been omitted from it. It is likely existing material has been updated or corrected.
