He's screaming?

I bought a babygecko in late May, and it is adorable. It is now a few months old, and growing a lot, and has a really good apetite.

I have him on my big computer-table, and since I spend about 70% of my time by the computer, I get to see everything he does on a regular day.

It started a few weeks ago, he was sleeping heavily, hiding in some decoration-plants.
Then he squeeks. Like one of those "baby-dinosaur" sounds, "schreaaaaaach". Not alarm-noise, and it wasn't very loud.
He looks around, licks his eyes, and then goes back to sleep. And then wakes up, screams, and goes to sleep again.

Oookay... I thought he might be dreaming or something. :s

And now he's doing it again. He's inside his little coconut-hide, and is screaching. It does not sound like "I'm afraaaid!" or "I'm warning you, bug off!!" sound babies tend to make.

Could he be in pain? :s Dreaming? :s Anyone else who've experienced this with you're babies?

I have a baby that screams at me when I try to mist his moist hide or hold him. He is only a couple days old though and his scream is more of a growl.

Hmmm that is definitely very interesting.. We have a few babies that are/were screamers, but they would only scream during their first experiences with "the giant hand." Why this little one would scream just after waking up, I am not really sure. Is there anything in the enclosure that could be startling him? Please describe your entire setup.. Also, do you ever handle him? Maybe he is still very wary of people? The only way to solve that problem is to slowly begin handling him more often.

I can say that I have heard a few "barks" from time to time from some of ours..and who knows, perhaps he is just dreaming? There have been a few discussions on dreaming geckos, here's one that I found: http://www.geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=19517&highlight=dream

I can't remember anything that may have startled him or made him upset. We're sitting here very calmly, typing on the computers for example, and once in a while we hear him go "screeeeech.." It's like... a yawn? o_O

His enclosure has lots of hiding places, a fake plant-thingy hanging from above (giving a little safe jungle look in one of the corners), waterbowl, moist hide.. He's in a 30x30x40 for now. A little big for a little guy, but he doesn't seem bothered about it. He's often around, walking, and being curious.

We don't handle him too often, but he's "okay" with humans. He doesn't scream at all when I take my hand in, or try to hold him. He's not 100% secure with handling, and I never pick him up.. But he walks freely into the hand, with some insecureness along the way.

I would try to film it, but it happens so random, I'd never know when to start the camera. :/
