Hi,

My daughter purchased a pair of leopard geckos last fall after raking the entire yard to pay for them. We have about an acre.

Some pics of the two...

We just had our first pair of eggs hatch last Friday. Very cool !

Also, does anyone know what color variations these guys are? The female has a carrot tail (can't see it in the picture)

welcome

Welcome to the forum! I wish I had a daughter like that...

Her female gecko looks like mine, and mine is a Tremper Albino & Eclipse. But I'm not an expert in genetics; I just go by the looks! My girl is gravid, but no eggs yet. Can't wait!!

Hope you find answers on the GF. I got much help here already. Even improved my website with their tips and tricks.

Welcome to GF. And sorry for bringing this up, but I can’t help myself. I really think you should get that hot rock out of the cage. PLEASE replace that with an UTH. I’m really not trying to be rude; I’m just concerned for the geckos. We are glad to have you on gecko forums though. Oh yeah, and we will all love to see the next leopard geckos you buy (you will, trust me, they’re additive)

cage furnishings...

Hi Emg,

Yes, I have lots of shots of the cage furnishings -- check my new website at http://www.lzrdgrl.com, under the menu button "info."

I know it looks kind of simple, but I'm a web design beginner, grin. On my site you can find all the links where I got the furnishings from -- such as this gray rock water fountain that you liked! I think it was around 50 bucks, though. And it comes without a fogger, but one can install one in the top for "special effects."

I like "natural environments" for my geckos.

So long,

Chrissy

Yeah, Halley is right. Not trying to make you mad or anything, but it'd be a lot better to have an undertank heater, rather than a heating stone.

Yeah, those are old pics. We got rid of the heat rock not long after that pic was taken. We now have a heat pad attached to the bottom of one side of the tank. But, thanks for bringing it up....because someone else may read this and learn something they need to know. ;)

No ill feelings at all HillDog....since you folks were so polite about it. It's important to help newbies out whenever it's needed. If someone at another forum hadn't informed us, we wouldn't have known. :)

Welcome! I'm new too hehe. Its great that you took other peoples advice on the heat rock :] I've seen a fair amount of people getting all defensive and using the "well nothing bad has happened yet" excuse.
