My name is Liz, I'm currently a senior in college (graduating soon, eep!) studying Allied Health. I recently got my first leo from a friend who could no longer care for him. He is a Mack Snow Enigma, named Wrex, with mild Enigma Syndrome issues. If anyone has any tips about working with Enigma Syndrome leos, I would love to hear them!

Also, Wrex is the most cuddly herp I have ever met. I think I've been struck by the leo love bug. Help! ;)

welcome to gecko forums!

as far as enigmas, you may just have to give them a little tlc. no bright lights, more hides and sometimes hand feeding. try to keep the stress to a minimum.

i hope you enjoy it here!

I've been consistently hand-feeding him since the day I got him. Probably why my friend couldn't keep him and other pets at the same time. He's a bit of work! However, he loves to explore when I take him out. Whenever he gets bored of that, he climbs up to me, snuggles under my sweatshirt, and falls asleep. I'll check on him periodically and he'll look up at me like he's thinking "What? You're warm."

Cage temps are good, around 90 on the warm side. I hand feed him mealworms that I personally gutload (wheat bran, calcium carbonate, some high protein/low fat cat food), and then dust in calcium powder (occasionally with D3 added, sometimes with herp vitamin supplements). He also has a calcium dish in his cage that I've seen him use occasionally.

As for the extra TLC, my roommates have taken to referring to him as the "Forrest Gump of Geckos"

He's special. :)
