Hey guys I have one gecko right now.. I ordered some dubia roachs from lllreptile.com just to try out and she is loving THEN... I keep a dish of mealworms they I breed in the tank but every other day I give her crickets.. she eats about 7 of them.. she is only about 4 and a half months old I think.. but when I gave her the roachs she ate like 15 of them!!!!!... is it bad that shesbeating more...or does she just like them more..also I would like to know where do sum of you guys order roachs from for a good price.. I would love to buy kinda like a start up kit and start breeding. Like I said I only have one gecko for now so I don't think that I need to order like 500 roachs or anything.. but I am just looking for some advice.. also if anyone breeds their own and has any to sell that would be great. I live in new york.. in brooklyn.. so if you are around here I would not have to pay for shipping..lol.. !!! Anyway.. please help guys and thanks a lot for reading

do your geckos also eat the adults or no? and do you use a heating tank on the bottom of your bin? i was thinking about buying the same one that i use for my leo tank but i was thinking wouldnt it just burn the bottom of the roach bin? thank you for your response

I use an Exo Terra UTH to heat my bin.
I only have a few adults so I've only fed medium sized roaches. One of my geckos loves them and the other two haven't really been eating much lately and have ignored them.

Ok thank you.. I will pick up an exo terro uth then... I heard that the heat really makes a difference on how much they breed.. do you also use a hole cut out in the top with a screen over it for air

Yeah, I used the mesh looking stuff that you use to patch up drywall. I couldn't find any metal screens.
I've had my roaches for about three weeks now. There's a bunch of tiny roaches running around now but I don't know if they're new babies or if they've been in there since I bought them and I just couldn't see them.

oh ok.. did you also use the little black things that put the bin up off the floor little bit with the heat pad? i just want to make sure i dont cause a fire.. because the bin of roachs will be in my closet.
