I am the proud owner of 2 geckos. Both were abandoned and now in my care. One is a crested gecko with an upper respiratory infection. The other is a leopard gecko with Metabolic Bone Disease. I am following our vets advice and am hoping for full recovery.

Thanks to all for the welcome & good wishes for my sick babies. Don't know if here is where I should post medical questions. Pls. tell me if it's not.
My one crested gecko (found him abandoned in the cold) has had pneumonia twice. Each time vet gave him baytril antibiotic & he reached 99% recovery. Now he has developed mucous & vet had him on different AB to prevent worsening. He has a weak immune system. Am using humidity (steam) to help break up the mucous. Vet also has him on Reptaid. Has anyone had similar experiences? I would hate to lose this little guy. Thanks.

repta aid is a life saver. you can try jumpstart too which is a caloric supplement. i use both and swear by them.
i dont know much about cresties, as ive never had one (yet) but if you have more questions you can post in the Health and Medications sections or the crested section and someones sure to help you out

Thanks so much. I'm new to Reptaid & had not heard of it until vet recommended. Will also look into Jumpstart.
