Hello everybody,
My name is Joey, almost 30 years old and living in a small town called Tiel in the Netherlands.
I have been keeping animals like snakes, lizards, invertebrates and many others for almost more than 10 years now. I come here mostly as a reader and enjoy looking at pictures and reading up on knowledge!
Of course I read up on the basics before getting the animal.
I just recently ventured in the land of leopard geckos I made a purchase of a used vivarium and cleaned it out and gave it a second life. I purchased a custom background some decorative items and of course the necessary hides and substrate.
Here are some specifications :
Vivarium 60x40x40 cmters
Substrate: excavator clay mixed with some Saharan desert sand. (Note: this is a solid rock hard substrate and isn't loose sand.)
Decoration:
- slate stone
- decorative fake plants
- dried moss
- spiderwood
- various exo terra items ( love that stuff) like reptile hide, gecko cave, worm dish.
- heating = 25 watt exo terra intense basking spot with UTH 15 watt creating a comfy 30/31 degrees Celsius at the hotspot.
- no night lighting the UTH remains on 24/7.
My gecko, Snowy, is a girl of June 2014, her full morph designation for those morph fans is : Mack Snow 100%het. Bell F3 Pinstripe Cross.
Here are some pictures I hope you enjoy.
Well that was it!
Take care guys!
Joey
