Hey, I am Hbug. I am glad to have found out about this site, I am having a hard time figuring it all out, but it sure does have allot of info on it. I have gotten in the hobby of geckos in the last few months.. I currently have 6 geckos and may have some on the way =) I didn't realize how expensive this hobby was going to be, but let me tell you how much fun I have been having with my geckos. I love to just sit and watch them, they are like little dogs, they make me laugh and a couple of mine are like evil canivle. they are not scared of anything. lol I have been having fun in this hobby and though I am not fully knowledgeable on geckos YET I sure have learned allot. But hey we are always learning Right? I am excited to get to know more of you users out there on this forums. So don't hesitate to friend me =) Thanks HBUG

Welcome to GF. It sounds as if you're having a great introduction to geckos. They can be expensive, especially if you have a lot. It's helpful to try to balance out your love for them and your pocketbook so you don't get into the situation where you have to sell some in order to support the others.

THanks, I am now breeding my own mealworms and Nubea roaches so once I establish that, food shouldn't cost that much. but boy all the supplies did. lol I think I am getting past the expensive part I think anyway cuz I have got everything they need now. Unless there is something else I should know?

Hopefully there will be no vet bills to worry about. There is always the possibility of breeding and then you get into more issues of food and housing (last August I went through 10,000 mealworms in 4 weeks! And I breed my own too). Hopefully, if you keep a steady number you have spent the most already.

How many geckos do you have?

I have about 15 adults leopard geckos and another 10 or so other geckos plus a bearded dragon. What ate all those mealworms were about 60 or so baby leopard geckos last summer!
