Can anybody recommend a good therapist? Haha
I suppose I should start off saying that I grew up without cable. Movies were cool but did not give constant stimulation. Thus, I carried a book, a writing journal, and a sketchbook at all times; and after discovering the internet, got really into digital art, freshwater fish, and paph and phalaenopsis orchids. A huge variety of hobbies. Being homeschooled meant I also had the time and crazy parental support to explore them. I consider that a luxury now.
Moving on, I should say that I have always, always loved animals. Became a vegetarian at 12, simply because I had wanted to become a vet and one of my 7 siblings had told me that all vets must be vegetarians. Since she said it with a straight face, I assume she believed it.
Since then, I have kept up that lifestyle because I enjoy it and I enjoy animals.
Now 18, I am taking dual credit courses at the local community college to finish up a few remaining high school credits. I firmly believe I'll major in biology and move on to medical school, conquer all cancer and foot fungi, and retire surrounded by reptiles, orchids, and one big, fat cat.
Can't remember how geckos became a fascination. The more I read about geckos, frogs, and snakes, the more I want to own them all
Just gathering resources and saving funding for his enclosure, then plan to buy my first leopard gecko at a reptile expo. No hurry. Wish I hadn't read that article about leopard gecko morphs because now a normal one just won't do. Tangerine is by far my favorite morph (?).
As I can only keep up with one enclosure and one kitten atm, all other additions will have to wait.
Finally, I can say... it's nice to meet you all... if this forum is still alive.
