Hello everyone,

I am starting to breed leopard geckos for the first time this summer. I currently have 7 leos. 2 males and 5 females.
males:
Hypo Tang het RAPTOR - Andy
Normal - Hanzel [the one from Zoolander, cuz he's so hot right now]
females:
Hypo Tang het RAPTOR - Andy
Normal - Gretel
APTOR -
RAPTOR -
Mack Snow (juvenile) - Princess

So far Andy and April were matched and she laid ab egg but it was her first and turned out to be a dud. Now i am matching Andy with my APTOR and RAPTOR.
My normals are matched and will be laying soon. They are pet only, unless something really funky comes out. I'm not sure of their genetics since I rescued them from someone off craigslist.

I am currently building my own Vivarium for a crested gecko I will be buying either at the end of this week or early next week.

Please help me with any tips or by sharing your experience and wisdom. I am learning something new every day and improving my setup and habits for the geckos.

You can follow me at Homebrew Geckos on Facebook. Hopefully will have a site up and running once I get some hatchlings and time to finish it. Same goes for my YouTube videos.

Thanks for taking the time to read this,
Denis

Good luck with your breeding. A couple of things you should consider:
--Females store sperm, so if you switch the male you're pairing a female with during the season, it will be difficult to know which male is the true father. If the first egg is a dud, it doesn't mean that the pairing isn't working. I'd recommend keeping your pairings throughout the season except in unusual circumstances
--It's good you realize that most of your pairings are going to be "pet only" since their genetics aren't known. The thing you have to consider is how many "pet only" geckos you'll be able to sell. There are a lot of geckos out there and many of them are kind of "pet only". What if your 5 geckos produce 50 hatchings? Think about breeding fewer geckos this season.
