Hi my name is Greg. I have been into herpetology for a few months now, I got my first reptiles when I was seven and they were red eared sliders.
I'm going to get a lizard soon and I am deciding between a bearded dragon, a leopard gecko, or a green anole.

What lizard do you guys think I should get?

Welcome to GF. It's all a question of what you like and what you can afford. The anoles can be handled the least, so they're a good choice if you just want something you can look at. The bearded dragon requires a large cage (40 gallon minimum), lots of food, a change of light every 6 months (at a minimum of $25) but is easy to carry around and is the most responsive. Leopard geckos are in the middle: less expensive than the beardie to maintain, can be handled but is not super responsive (and can't be allowed to run around the living room).

I guess I should say the pets that I have.
2 red eared slider turtles
1 awesome dog
2 gerbils
And a ton of fish.

I'm 13 years old and I come from Kansas I got into the reptile hobby when I was 7 when I got my turtles. I just recently got into lizards and I have decided that I'm getting a Leo soon. I might be a breeder but I probably won't breed because My parents only want me to have one or two leos.

I think a leo is a good choice. Not everyone has to breed. Actually there are advantages to just having 1 or 2 leos, mainly that you can appreciate the individuals more and give each one more attention.

HAHA they definitely are. Okay, leopard geckos can be held but don't enjoy it as much as a bearded dragon. One of my leo's crawls right in my hand wanting to be held, but my other despises it. Most bearded dragons love being handled and being left to run around the living room. Beardies need bigger tanks, and that means it is more expensive. Leo's don't need as large of a tank, nor do they need the overhead lights. My brother has a bearded dragon and loves her to death, she's fantastic. But I have 2 leo's that I love to death and I wouldn't give them up for anything in the world. :)
