Im curious to see what other peoples experiences are with hidden (unknown) hets that have popped up. I havent had it happen personally yet, but I do know of several people who have. I do have one that could possibly (very slight possibility) have such an issue, but Ill definitely be test breeding to be sure.

Im really curious to see how prevalent it is in the hobby. Any and all input is welcome.

Of course, as you know, hets are by their very nature hidden. I assume you mean situations where it turned out the gecko was het for something that hadn't been anticipated. I've seen reports of this several times during the last few years in the forums. I can think of 2 examples in my own projects:
--I have a male tang whose genetics are not completely known (yes, I know this is frowned upon but I do occasionally have breeders whose genetics are not crystal clear and I practice full disclosure to my customres) who turned out to be het for Tremper albino

--This is much less clear because the genetics of stripes is not completely understood. I have a male banded Tremper albino who, when paired several years ago with a stripe, produced 50% stripes. Now this could be due to stripes somehow being dominant. However, this past season, this banded Tremper was paired with his daughter, a banded "speckled" gecko het blizzard and het Tremper (the mother of this gecko was a snow blizzard) and produced a perfect reverse stripe Tremper albino!

All I know is that, that's basically every BP breeders dream haha. As for geckos, I assume it's morph prevalent than people think since most morphs are recessive, and unless you just happen to pick the exact right mate, you'll probably never know
