Hiding?

I got an adult pair of cresties this past weekend at the arlington show and they're always burrowing into the moss substrate that I have in the tank rather than climbing around the tank. Is this normal?

i would take a guess and say yes thats normal, im no expert But my crested gecko does that same thing everyday... then at night hes out of hiding... And also does the moss form any mold in the tank???

No, it doesnt. I havent had any mold problems.

Could be your humidity is low so your gecko is going to the most humid area which is the substrate.

Do you have any lighting? It could be that it is to hot and he's going down under the moss because it's the coolest place and furthest from the heat.
