Im working with blizzards now so Ill let you guys know if I hatch anything out like that.

And to answer the above question, I dont know... I rarely look at Prehistoric Pets website because their prices for blizzards are like 3X the "normal" price I see at expo's or other sites. Arnt they supposed to be producing banana blizzards (murphy patternless blizzards) too? Ive never seen them sell those.

What a cool-looking gecko! I had a normal male many years ago that was a light tan color with literally thousands of speckles all over him, but he wasn't as pretty as this 'lemony' morph! I have also had het blizzards that were speckly, but not like this gecko. I haven't a clue what it is, what causes it, or if it's reproducible... but it will be interesting to see what pops out if it's bred.

could be... From what I know there are like 5 subspecies of the leopard gecko:

Eublepharis macularius fasciolatus
Eublepharis macularius afghanicus
Eublepharis macularius macularius
Eublepharis macularius montanus
Eublepharis macularius smithi

Plus there are at least four closely related species:

Eublepharis angramainyu
Eublepharis fuscus
Eublepharis hardwickii
Eublepharis turcmenicus

In the 1970s when "leopard geckos" were being imported for the pet trade to north america there was a mix of all of the above. They were all sold as "leopard geckos" and then when people started breeding them (remember, this is when RT set up his breeding colonys) they all got bred togeather. In fact all of our leopard geckos would be intra-specific hybrids (hybrids between subspecies) and maybe even interspecific hybrids (hybrids between species in the same genus). Hybrids in cornsnakes (North american rat snake subspecies) has resulted in new morphs, so im sure mixing the genes with leopard geckos gave rise to some of our favorite morphs.
Since this lemon peppered gecko is in africa, im sure they would have a different ratio of mixing between the subspecies than here, which could explain why we dont have anything like that here.

When i first got into leos i picked up at super speckled gecko that resembles that quite a bit in a way. Not super yellow like that but tan. It's a pet store pick up. I still have it in my racks as a pet. She has never really gotten much bigger then 55g.
