I just came home with my new snake, to find out my leopard gecko is shedding!:D.

He's in his humid hide and so far the skin is off of his head, and about 1 inch downfrom his head. He's like a 6inch gecko so we'll see. He still needs all of his toes. So far it's all in one piece too.

Right now he's just kind of rubbing agaisnt the side of the humid hide, and trying to work it off. He is also turning his head around and biting some of it off as he goes.

Congratz! I was really happy too when my gecko had his first shed.

Mine looks ready also. I've had mine three weeks and he hasn't shed yet.

I just made the connection between him not eating the past few days, and him shedding. It was a complete shed, he had no stuck shed =).

Herman just did too today. I just got home and he has some stuck on his face. I think he'll get it off. The rest is off his body.

Apollo still hasn't come out of his hide yet, 2 days after shed, is this normal?

Herman seems the same to me after his shed yesterday. Inhaled 10 small crickets for dinner.

How is yours doing now?

Snowy is Shedding

Snowy (a super mack snow) is shedding.

Sometimes you see the shed and sometimes you don't.

I saw Petra (a normal) shed once and once I saw the color distortions indicating a shed.

So it is great when you can actually see the Geckos shed.

Snowy is on the second day of color distortion. I assume that the sheet will be completed by tomorrow.:D

My gecko finished his shed in somewhere from 10-20 hours( I think).

He's still a bit shy, still hasn't ate after the shed.

Edit- Just ate 10 meal worms, good to go =)
