Does anyone know if they're hard to get? I printed out the application today, but I'm kind of confused by all the info they want. I need to mark scientific, educational, or zoological on the application. For now, I just want one, but I won't say 100% that I won't want to breed in the future.

Has anyone gone through the process? They're considered threatened here, so I need a permit to buy one from a breeder.:(

Kristi,
I am not in Il, but I have filled out numerous permit applications including import/export, venomous, dangerous, endangered, and CITES...

If you want, call me and I can walk you through it step by step...

once you get your permit and are ready to buy one contact the jeffs at JMG reptile as their animals overall are great.

Thanks Gregg! The application itself is pretty easy. The only thing I'm not sure on is what type I'm filling out. I have to check scientific, educational, or zoological. I'm going to have my husband glance over everything when he gets home from wrestling practice.

I just hope they approve it because I'd really love to own one.

If I have any specific questions, I'll let you know. I appreciate your help.:) If I haven't figured it out in a few days, I may just be calling.:D
