Anyone feed these to there leos (or any herp for that matter...I feed them to beardies every now and then)?

If you don’t feed them what is the reason you don’t feed them (other then price).
There low fat high protein and calcium (so sound like the perfect feeder lol).

I actually want to try some but will have to wait for the new year since everyone is out or closed for the holidays. My only fear is their size they can get pretty long!

The place I'll be ordering from you can specify which size you would prefer.

Like Liz, I am waiting until after the holidays to order...they will be a late Christmas present!

I think the main reason people will tell you they do not feed them is price (which you mentioned) and availability. Not very many people sell them from what I have found at least.

They Are Good

I have given them to my Leos.

I have even given them big ones.

For the ones that grew larger than I wanted to feed my Leos ... I gave them back to the Reptile Store.:main_yes:

They get so big that I was worried about feeding them to my Leos.

But, I would buy them again as a special treat.:main_thumbsup:

This one guy says if you want to slow there growth do this...

2 days refrigerator (40-45 degrees)
next day feed
2 days refrigerator
next day feed
and so on...

OR

I think this one is better…

HOW TO SLOW GROWTH... Goliath worms grow so quickly sometimes they grow too big, too fast for some customers animals to eat. When Goliath worms reach the size desired - you can slow growth dramatically and extend shelf life considerably (by a couple weeks) - if you store them between 55 and 65 degrees. DO NOT REFRIGERATE them because most refrigerators are between 35 and 40 degrees (too cold) which will usually kill them. The easiest way to extend their shelf life is to place the worm cups in an ice chest with small blue ice packets and exchange the blue ice with fresh ones at least once or twice a day to keep cool.

This would keep them from getting to long to quick.

I like it

That was the problem that I had ... I would have to feed them to my Leos every day and they kept getting bigger.

So I will try again when they are back in season and then, cool them down.:main_thumbsup:
