What is the difference between a patternless and a zero and a superzero. I am looking on those sites but as soon as I think I understand it, I see one labelled in such a way as to make it clear that I don't get it. Anyone have side by side pictures of all three?

I dont have the side by side pictures but i can tell you this :)

Patternless: Recessive Trait

When a Patternless is bred to a normal gecko, all the babies will appear normal but will all carry the Patternless Gene. Hence all babies hatched will Heterozygous Patternless. One must then breed those babies back together or to a patternless to produce an actual patternless.

Zero: Co-Dominant Trait

When a zero is bred to a normal, you will produce zero right away. 50% will be Zeros 50% will be just Normal! Zero x Zero will give you 25% Super Zero, 50% Zero, 25% Normal.

Super Zero: Homozygous Zero

Super Zero x Normal will give you 100% Zero. Super Zero x Zero will give you 50% Super Zero and 50% Zero.

Hope this helps!

In my last pre-child life, I was a molecular biologist so I am good on the genetics...so do zero, super-zero and patternless all look the same then? That would explain why I keep getting confused looking at the pictures.

:) okay this is a zero, previously posted in this thread:
101_1201.jpg

The Zero has no real bands anymore. High end zeros have a full bodypattern from head to tail.
Oftent you have black goind down from the stripe to both sides but not as with the patternless, you still see the pattern as it is not a full black gecko it is a striped geckos with black pattern going down from the stripe to both sided in best cases you have these black pattern runing down the whole back of the gecko.
take a look here:
http://www.jmgreptile.com/zero.html
take a look at the last 2 pics on the left row and the last 3 pics on the right row. They will show you typical Zeros.
As yo ucan see on the second last picture in the right row, a zero must not have a completely connected back pattern.

Now you want to see the Super Zero^^
again look at:
http://www.jmgreptile.com/zero.html
take a look at the first gecko on the left row. Thats a Super Zero.
Sadly Jeff doens´t have adult pics of the SUper Zero on his page but I saw 30 grammers and they stay that LIGHT and thats the difference to the visiual appearens of a Patternless.

This is a patternless:
http://www.jmgreptile.com/patternlessfattail.html
Second picture in first row shows you striped and nonstriped youngsters. THey already have much more intensie colouration than the Super Zeros.

The visual difference is that the super Zeros are light and they appear a bit clear compared to the Patty (I mean like with clearboxes and milky boxes).

And as far as I know the Zero always has a Stripe. THe nonstripe version is named the Stinger but I don´t know if their is alsready the superfrom.
This is the stinger
http://www.jmgreptile.com/stinger.html

I heard quiete a few ppl saying that the Patternless is the same as the Super Zero but thats just not true.
This is easy to prove with the following liks:
Patternless White out:
http://www.jmgreptile.com/cimages/pw008.jpg
Super Zero White out
http://www.jmgreptile.com/cimages/whiteoutsuperzero003.jpg

Okay this is all I know and as I was to lazy to ask jeff if I can post pics(even thought he would have said yes^^) I just did the links :)

Hope that helped you :)

Thanks
Thorsten
