Hi! I am excited because my parents finally let me and my bro get a pet reptile. We both chose the fatty because it is hardy and somewhat docile. We also chose it because it is in our budget. But we both have a question. Is it safe and Humane to keep 2 female fat tailed geckos in a 20 gallon tank.:main_thumbsup::main_thumbsdown:

its fine but be ready to seperate if they do not get along and provide them with 3 or 4 hides so they can get away from each other when they need to

Ya I was told by the petland people (who don't know s***) that I shouldn't keep a male and a female because they will mate and that two males would kill each other!!

that is true, two males will definately kill each other, and a male and a female will try to mate, even if she is not ready, which could end up in her death.

so, to be safest, if you want to keep multiple geckos, get two females.

by the way, good choice with the fat tail. my personal favorite gecko!

Yeah one of my favorite females died because I accidentally put her in with the male, he tried to mate, and the eggs killed her.
