Housing hatchlings

I know that some people keep hatchlings housed in racks or in those plastic shoebox type things, how do you heat those? What can you use that wont melt the plastic?

could i use a light bulb situated in the roof of a 2by 2 viv with the tubs on a platform?

leos are nocturnal and need a heat gradiant and also underbelly heat is the best run heat tape or cable under the tubs controled by a thermostat that is the best way to heat them
