hey, i have one leo right now in a ten gallon tank. i'm moving him to a 20 long and would like to get another leo as a buddy for him. i was just wondering in i should get a male or female or should i not get one at all. and if i do get one, will they fight when i put them in the tank?

Is your current leo a boy beacuse you definalty can't keep to boys in the same tank and If you get a Girl you might get stuck with babies.

Never house more then one male together, if the one you have already is a male then your only option would be a female but I wouldnt reccomend it unless your trying to breed and if you are trying to breed then the female needs to be of age, weight, and health to breed.

I would suggest putting the new 'buddy' in the old ten gallon tank.

Putting males together is a no-no. And if you don't want them to breed, than a female is out of the question as well. Leos are for the most part solitary creatures, from what I understand. So a buddy really isn't necessary. And putting females together is the only way for 'buddies' to have a chance to co-exist peacefully, though fighting can crop up between females as well.
