Hovabator question

If you have containers with the air hole (if any) on the sides so they can be stacked, you can have quite a bit of eggs in there... How many females are you planning on breeding? I will be breeding two this year (max of around 20 eggs...) and that will fit fine in there, even when each clutch has a seperate container. I'd say it will work well for 3-4 laying females, maybe more.

Thanks, I have 7 females now and the next reptile show is this weekend so I will end up getting more. I am still debating whether to buy another hovabator or to build an incubator out of a mini fridge or something like that.

I have heard of mini fridge incubators working very well... Honestly as soon as I need another bator, I'm just upgrading to a mini fridge or cooler incubator. They are relativly cheap, and have alot more space. Just an idea that crossed my mind; what if you took the hovabator parts and rigged them in a cooler... this would certainly increase your space. Obveously it couldnt be too large, or the heat will never turn off and will burn out...

I think just using 11" flexwatt would work out better to heat a mini fridge then hovabator parts, personally I would just end up ruining a hovabator if I started taking it apart.
