Ideally, you should have the following:

--digital thermometer with probe

--proportional thermostat (unfortunately they cost several times more than the hobovator, but they're worth it. If you live near enough to lllreptile so you don't need to ship, check out theirs. Otherwise, check out Big Apple Herp)

--it's good also to put some double bagged zip loc bags of water at the very bottom of the incubator to help regulate the temp.
