I hatched a tremper temp sexed female last week. When it hatched, it had one huge eye and a fat bubble on its neck. Well, two days later, it had a huge crusty and puss type substance coming from where the yolk sack was.
I cleaned it with Witch Hazel and put a little neosporin on it. Then later that day more was hanging, but when I tried to pick it up and clean it again, more came out.
Surprisingly the little guy made it through the night, much less two. I tried picking it up and cleaning it again today. There was a blood crusty and that was it. But, when I tried to pick it up, I guess the pressure or something made clear stuff (sorry, i don't know the right word. kinda like when we heal and the clear stuff comes out), well it came out just a little.
Should I just leave it alone and hope it heals on its own. Or what?
I have pictures but, not uploaded yet. If it would help, I can upload them.
O, and it's housed by itself on paper towels.
Edit: I haven't had any problems with the other hatchlings from the same female.
