how do i tell what kind i have

Okay,Im new to the gecko ownership and i have a few questions if someone could help or point me in the right direction. 1'st being.. How do i tell what kind of leopard gecko i have i bought it at pet smart and they didnt know.. im not sure how to post a pic but ii could text one if anyone can help

He looks tangy to me ... though there's an orangeish stain to the white on him. Is that from the sand?

Same here look at the tail it has a orangish color to me.Also I would stay away from sand,because it may cause impaction.
